I painted this still life because I was cold. The warm palette warmed me up. I think I’m coming down with something, very frustrating since the weather has just taken a turn toward spring. This time last week it was snowing. Today it’s going to get to 70. Maybe that is what brought on my flu.
Still lifes have a special place in my heart. They’re part of my capturing nostalgia, a slower pace. I typically set them in a farm or farm house setting to give them a rustic feel. Hope you like it.
