Regular readers of my blog will notice a change. I’ve migrated from the blogging platform that I used with GoDaddy. It was such a chore to use, hard to customize, code issues. Don’t get me wrong; GoDaddy is a great hosting provider. I’ll be the first to recommend a provider that has such great support. The blogging platform just left to much to be desired.
I’ve moved to a self-hosted blog using WordPress. First of all, GoDaddy did the install, very nice since that can be challenging to those not familiar with the process. I have a blog with my domain name in it. Fifty percent of being an artist is marketing. I have to do something while the paint is drying.
WP is also so much easier to work with. In addition, I’ve found an incredible blogging software as well, Windows Live Writer. Wow, I just posted in my entire collection of blogs in less than an hour. I can save links I frequently use. I get tags from Technorati or other services. I can even post date my posts to keep my blog fresh and active. If you paint and you blog, definitely give this program a go.
