Some days a cat just feels needy. They want to be near you. They certainly can’t bear it when you’re out of site. If not done with some care, this is a surefire way to frustrate you, the owner.
Having a cat in the house means lots of hair. Unfortunately, hair is an enemy to your computer to say nothing of finding cat hairs in my washes. Texture, I tell myself, texture. Take the other day when trying to begin a blog post, I found the keyboard keys not responding. So frustrating when you have an idea you must write down. For some reason, my caps lock was stuck. I couldn’t un-stick it.
Sophie, my cat, likes to jump on the desk when I’m working. It took awhile, but at least she isn’t trying to lay her head on the keyboard anymore. Still she’s still in reach. I have to admit to being something of a workaholic. I eat my lunch while I type away or catch up on the blogs. Well, apparently, when I went back to check if a painting was dry before tackling the keyboard, she decided to help herself to my water.
Fortunately, they’re wasn’t a lot of water in the glass. I turned just as she was sticking her paw into the glass to get a drink. You can figure out the rest. The glass spills, my keyboard in the path. Well, it needed a good cleaning anyway. This site was actually very helpful with a how-to. Anyway, the caps lock is fixed.
So, take away this lesson. Keep the liquids away from the computer. Save yourself a lot of frustration and keep your computer, your mouse, and your keyboard clean.
