With such a nice weekend on tap, I’m going to be hitting the trails for some reference materials and painting ideas.
We’ve heading out to east central Minnesota for some hiking and geocaching. Last time we were out this way, I took some nice photos of birch forests and streams that made for some enjoyable paintings including one of my personal favorites, “Fall Symphony”.
Whenever we’re out, we always have binoculars with us. Migrants are coming through this time of year. The lake here is full of coots. We’ve even seen mature bald eagles in our backyard. If you’re thinking of buying or upgrading your binoculars, now it’s a good time. There’s a Nikon ATB Promotion going on now until the end of the year to get a free gift card when you purchase select brands.
The park we’re headed to is near the St. Croix River. I’m looking so forward to great photo ops. The river should be full of waterfowl. Looking forward to some productive studio time next week.
