05 Apr 2009 From the Archives — The Contrast of Fall

After this week’s snow, it’s nice to be reminded of the colors yet to come with spring and the subsequent brilliance of fall colors.

As I wrote earlier, I am a seasonal artist. I take inspiration from what I see outside my studio window, whether it’s a scene I’m actually viewing or one that I wish I was seeing. Engaging in this time of creativity allows me to bring experience into my work. I can bring my feelings into my painting. I’m not just painting a winter scene, but rather I’m painting the cold.

Wishing for spring to finally arrive? Paint it!
